The 2023 Montana Outdoor Recreation Summit will happen October 11 – 13 in Butte at the Copper King Hotel. Co-hosts include the University of Montana’s Institute for Tourism and Recreation Research (ITRR), W.A. Franke College of Forestry and Conservation, and Montana Access Project. This Summit is a follow-up to previous Governor’s Business of Outdoor Recreation Summits which brought the entire Montana outdoor recreation communities together including recreationists, sporting goods and tourism businesses, outfitters, private organizations, agency and community representatives.
The 2023 Summit is dedicated to exploring the conservation, economic, and social aspects of outdoor recreation in Montana. It will serve as a gathering place to convene, learn, and create partnerships that will guide solutions to the challenges we face in creating, building, and sustaining Montana’s outdoor recreation experiences. You can expect live panels, dynamic guest speakers, workshops, field tours, a film festival, and so much more.
